Pastor Stephen E. Prescod
Pastor/Founder Church of the Firstborn, SA

Pastor Prescod was born again and water baptized on September 18, 1971 and was filled with the Holy Ghost three days later at the Glorious Church of God in Christ in Newark, New Jersey.

On November 19, 1971 he entered the United States Army. Once he completed his training he was assigned to a MASH Hospital in Germany. It was while Pastor Prescod was overseas in 1973 that the Lord called him into the ministry, he was ordained November 18, 1980.

Pastor Prescod has been in the ministry for 34 years. During 24 of those years he served on active duty as a Medic in the United States Army while simultaneously preaching the Gospel where ever he was assigned around the world. For 12 years, he served in several Churches as a Minister and Associate Pastor, and actually pastored for 22 years.

On October 24, 2001, Pastor Prescod and his wife Carolyn were instructed by the Spirit of God to pioneer a Church and to name it “Church of the Firstborn.” They started with three people in his family room of his home in Universal City Texas. Ever since that day, the Lord has supernaturally increased their ministry.

By the direction of the Holy Spirit Pastor Prescod began teaching the people how to live the life of faith; how to walk by faith and not by sight. Every day Monday through Thursday he teaches on divine healing and many, many people have received their healing supernaturally by God in this ministry. Many souls have been saved; many have renewed their relationship with our heavenly Father. Most of all, we are blessed watching them grow in the Lord.

Pastor Prescod not only preaches in the Church building, he is involved in several outreach ministries in the community. He reaches out to the needy in our city with the Gospel and physical assistance through our evangelism ministry. The ministry is expanding continuously. He also has a strong and successful radio ministry which also can be heard live on the World Wide Web.

In addition to the radio broadcast, the Lord has blessed the ministry with two great facilities. The main auditorium, and a Youth and Family Center located just a few blocks away. Our services are well attended. On Wednesday nights we have three services going on simultaneously. The Adult Services are held in the main auditorium and our Children's Church and Youth Services are at our Youth and Family Center.

Pastor Prescod not only preaches the Gospel but also believes and lives by the Gospel. He is also a strong advocate for the family unit. By being a strong advocate for family unity, he is a faithful husband to his wife; he makes the time to be with his children, grand children and great grand children he is a family man. As the pastor of the Church of the Firstborn, SA, Pastor Prescod encourages each of us as individuals to strive to enter into the fullness of God and walk and live in the Blessing of Abraham.
