Possessing Part 5

What God has Given You!

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, WITH MEN THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE;

Sometimes it may seem impossible to possess what God has promised you.  But the Word says, “That with God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!”  At times, there may be barriers in your life blocking your pathway to success.  So today, I want to continue to share with you some truths from the Word of God that will help you learn how to possess what God says is yours.

As I closed last time I was sharing that there is no situation that God’s Word cannot remedy.  Let’s go ahead and read that closing statement again, then I will go on with the conclusion.

“I don’t have to know your situation.  I know what God’s Word says, and whatever your situation might be, it’s taken care of by the Word of God.  There is no situation, no circumstances, and no problem that can’t be remedied by the Word of God.”  This is a true statement of faith.

Of course, the Word of God only works for you when you are in faith and obedience.  Some people are standing at the river saying, O God help me.”  You can stand on the banks of the river all day long and wait for God to do something, but nothing will happen until you put some action to your faith in Him.

Remember, James said, “Faith without works is dead.”  In other words, faith without corresponding actions doesn’t produce anything.  Real faith begins to do something.  It doesn’t just sit or stand idle.  Putting action to your faith is in line with God’s Word.  When we mix faith and obedience, WE WILL

The Lord promises He will deliver us out of all of our problems, circumstances, and trials – if we trust Him.  It makes no difference to God whether your problem is physical, financial, emotional, spiritual, or social.  It makes no difference to God how big or small your problem is.  He will deliver you!

Always remember this, FAITH POSSESSES THE PROMISES OF GOD.  God has promised us life, liberty, happiness, health, healing, wholeness and much more.  You can stand on the riverbank if you want to and never possess the land of blessing God has for you.  But God doesn’t want you to give up and quit.  He wants you to go on.  If you quit, you will not gain anything.  But if you keep on going, and keep on standing on the Word of God in faith, you have everything to gain.

If you’ve been waiting for something to happen in your life, go to God’s Word and find out what He says belongs to you right now.  Then believe what His Word says and put corresponding action to your faith by doing what he’s told you to do.  It’s time to get your feet wet, so to speak.  It’s time to step out by faith AND TAKE POSSESSION OF WHAT BELONGS TO YOU!

I have enjoyed sharing this message with you.  I trust the Lord that you will meditate upon it, get it into your spirit.  Then step out by faith and possess your land.  Remember this: “YOUR PROMISE LAND IS RIGHT ACROSS THE RIVER”!

Word for Today:  "Good Judgment

In the Book of Proverbs 3:21,22 (NIV), King Solomon writes: "My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck." As we look at the greatest and best leaders you will find the trait of "Good Judgment!"  I would like to encourage you today to let the trait of the Bible improve your judgment.
