The Healing Word

He sent His Word and healed them.  Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”  The healing Word is Jesus; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.  In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” John 1:1-4, 14.

God sent Jesus to bear our pain and sickness, and to heal us of every disease.  Hebrews 10:5-10 states, “Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.  Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.  Above when He said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hast pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said He, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God.  He taketh away the first that He may establish the second.  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

So God prepared a body for Jesus, and through Jesus’ sacrifice we are healed.  Jesus is the healing Word.  The Word not only heals, but it delivers; no matter how severe your case is the Word will take care of it.  The Word has supernatural power and the ability to heal anywhere, anytime.  God said in Jeremiah 1:12; 23:29, “Then said the Lord to me, you have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over my Word to perform it.” “Is not my Word like as a fire? Saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?”

God, through His Word, will burn sickness out of you; and break the power of the devil off of your life so that sickness cannot live in you or attach itself to you.  If you want to get well and stay well, take the healing Word faithfully. The more Word you take, the stronger you will become and the more violent you will be against sickness.

Dr. Richard Owellen, PHD, MD, John Hopkins Medical Staff, believes in divine healing. “God healed his 4 month old baby of a dislocated hip; it was an instant miracle.  Regardless of medicines or surgery - God is the healer.  A doctor can give a man medicine, but medicine does not change his organs, it just improves the way they work.  Surgeons can cut out the bad tissue or cells which sometimes allows the body to heal faster, but no surgeon can reach in and heal.  All he does is sewing the body back together after he’s done his part.  It is God who heals.  God has provided many skills tools, and drugs. However as a Christian we look beyond what the doctor says and see God’s healing hand.”  I am in agreement with the Doctor; I have many testimonies of my own healings, and once God heals you, you are healed! The key is to stay faithful to the Word, and the Word will be faithful to you.

God bless you,
