Trusting the Name

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You Psalms 9:10 NKJV

The Lord told us He will never leave us nor forsake us, now if Jesus is with me all the time through the person of the Holy Spirit, then I can trust Him with all of my life.  The problem with most people is, they do not trust the Lord, because they do not know Him, nor have a personal relationship with Him.  Our opening scripture says and those who know your name will put their trust in you; it indicates we must know Him and the power and the ability that is in His name in order to trust Him.

You know Jesus was not given a common household name; His name was given for a specific purpose.  The very announcement of His name came with power and authority; there will be no end to the reign of His kingdom.  Hear what Luke said; But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." Luke 1:30-33 NIV

When Jesus commissioned the church He gave us the authority to use His name.  In Mark we are told; And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Mark 16:17-18 NIV

WOW! Such power we have available to us! The very throne of God is backing Jesus’ Name, all of God’s power and ability is in His Name. Thank you Lord Jesus.  The Holy Spirit wrote through the Apostle Paul to the church to make sure we received this revelation of the Name of Jesus.  He said; Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phil 2:9-11 NIV

Regardless of the tests or circumstances let us labor to know the Name and put our trust in Him.  He will not forsake us or leave us and we will always win.

Blessings to you,
